Welcome to the HKFC Coaches’ Corner! HKFC is committed to providing the members of its Youth Section with the best possible playing experience. To do this, we ensure that coaches have the relevant knowledge and skills, regardless of the age group they are coaching. HKFC Youth Rugby Section is primarily lead by volunteer parent coaches. These are supported by Age Group Professional Coaches, who are current or recent players. The program is led by Steve Jones, HKFC Youth Coaching Coordinator, with the support of Head Coach, Logan Asplin and Director of Rugby, Stephen Dowse. If you are interested in becoming a coach, please contact a Head Coach or member of the committee. See Committee/Head Coaches.

HKFC has a Rugby Curriculum that runs from the first session at Under 5 to the final years of youth at Under 18. This curriculum contains the age grade appropriate skill, game, social and physical development to ensure that our young players have the best chance to succeed in rugby and move to our thriving senior section. More details of the Curriculum can be found here

The club also provides coaches with a bank of skills practices and games to ensure the players are able to develop and improve at the right time. Resources can be found here and here

The club also runs a full program of coaching courses to ensure coaches have the coaching skills and rugby knowledge to deliver the rugby curriculum. To sign up for preseason courses click on the course link below:
